You’ve the full control over your knol.You can control the interactions on your knol.There are many interactive features added to a knol by default like reader comments,writing reviews.Also features like ‘Related knols’ list, the ‘Also Wrote’ list are included with every knol.You can completely control these interactions from your settings.
Knol allows you to monetize your knols with AdSense ads.Make sure your knol has enough ‘meat’ in it.Don’t make a knol just to put AdSense ads on it.The knol community may flag you as a spammer.
You can put relevant links on your knol.So,you can get some traffic to your site.You can also create your Author Profiles and put your website links and other social media links.This may give you very good exposure.

Unfortunately, I have not actually read any positive earnings reports from Google Knol users. I’ve checked it out, even written a few, but they tend to get lost in Google (ironically) and have yet to make a cent.
I’ve asked others about their earnings as well and don’t hear about any earnings. It’s too bad there’s not a better monetary draw.
